Furqan began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG before taking on management positions with Dubai-based developers Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) Shopping Centres and Al Futtaim Group Real Estate. An expert in business process and IT set-up, he has participated in the deployment of major ERP solutions such as JDE 1 World, Navision and SAP in major multinationals.

Mohammed Obaidullah, the manager of compliance and control and the project manager of cinema initiative at the General Authority of Audiovisual Media (GCAM), has cultivated a rich experience and exposure over 20 years in the filmmaking industry. He participated in developing the cinema classification department in accordance with the cinema launch in Saudi Arabia.
In addition to a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mechanical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Mr. Obaidullah holds a Diploma in Film Production from Vancouver Film School (Canada) and a Certificate in Film Studies from Ryerson University (Canada).
Mohammed is an award-winning producer, director, writer, and actor. Combined with his early career in mechanical engineering, Mr. Obaidullah possess an in-depth understanding of all aspects of film making. Concurrent with this, he was studying the local and regional film industry to ascertain current trends and opportunities to continue building Saudi Arabia’s presence in international cinema. In his film career in Canada, he co-founded Smart Penguin Productions in 2012, where he served as a Producer. Additionally, he was awarded the Indie Film Festival Award of Merit for his work in directing and producing a short film titled “When Jackie Met Saleh”. He worked in 30 more films in several roles.
Kamal AlNuaimi is currently the head of information and registry department at GCAM with over 18 years of experience in business development and relations management. He joined the cinema launch project in Saudi Arabia in April, 2018 and developed the assessment criteria for both cinema operating and venue development. He worked through the API integration with operators, setting up a billing system, and is responsible for maintaining a healthy relationship with cinema operators in the kingdom
Paul is an experienced acoustics, noise and vibration design consultant and has approximately 22 years’ experience working in this field. In that time he has gained extensive understanding of designing, monitoring, assessing and controlling acoustics, noise and vibration affecting commercial, residential and public property. His experience also includes writing and reviewing detailed technical reports as part of wider environmental and architectural studies.
Architectural services provided to date have included the provision of advice on all aspects of architectural acoustics to many major international architects and developers; assessing client’s needs and providing cost effective and practical advice commensurate with the project requirements. His specialism is elastomeric vibration isolation and high-performance sound insulation – specifically cinema and performance venues, where he has been involved in the design of over 1000 cinema auditoria and 8 high-profile concert venues. Ryan sits on the Institute of Acoustics’ editorial board, is the Secretary of the UK Ground Borne Vibration Working Group and has served as session Chairman for the International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration.
